Los limitadores de corriente de irrupción (ICL) están diseñados para limitar un gran flujo inicial de carga eléctrica que se produce cuando se enciende un dispositivo por primera vez. El rango máximo de corriente en estado estable es de 100 mA a 80 A, con una resistencia a la corriente que varía de 1 mOhm a 30,3 ohmios y un rango de espaciado de cables de 0,098” a 1,378”.
